Wednesday, Oct 2ndOctoberfest is the theme for GF Eats with the Dr and the Chef featuring Chef Kimi Reid (gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free professional chef) and Dr Lisa Shaver (primary care physician and naturopathic doctor specializing in digestive disorders, celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity). This event runs from 6pm to 8pm at Charlee’s Teaching Kitchen at Helfgott Research Institute in downtown Portland. You will receive a smoothie upon arrival, a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free cooking class and a sit-down dinner and personal time with the chef and Dr Shaver.
Autumn leaves and crisp evenings call for warm and comforting foods. Cozy up with a menu of brats & sauerkraut, warm German potato salad and dark beer brownies. Learn about live probiotic foods and gluten-free beer choices. Feast on the Octoberfest creations at the end.
